AirAsia Introduce New Island Transfer Service

-
.

AirAsia has launched a new Island Transfer service to 5 Thailand islands, namely Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Phi Phi Island, Koh Lanta and Koh Lipe. The great thing about the AirAsia island transfer service is that almost everything is organised for you. AirAsia pre-book a vehicle which will be waiting for you on your arrival at the airport to transport you to your ferry pier and then off to your island destination.  Note that once at the island pier you will need to arrange your own transport to your hotel.  This is normally not an issue as local island transport is always waiting at the pier for the ferry arrivals.

How do you book the AirAsia Island Transfer Service?

You can book the new AirAsia Island Transfer Service via the normal airasia booking process. For example, if you wanted to book a direct flight + van + ferry transfer to Koh Phangan from Bangkok you can select Phangan (Raja ferry pier -Thong Sala) as your final destination. The ferry, transfer and flight are all booked together when you book your flight.

What do I do when I land at my destination airport?

After you have collected you baggage, look for the AirAsia signs and banners that say ‘CHECK-IN HERE FOR TRANSFER’ (Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Phi Phi Island, Koh Lanta and Koh Lipe) as soon as you exit the arrival hall.

When returning, passengers have to register at the island pier meeting point at least 10 minutes before departure time.

Please see the table below to note which airport and pier you will need to select for your island of choice, letting you book a flight and ferry combination ticket together through the Air Asia website.
