Traveller’s Reviews of Siam Rice Thai Cookery School

The only place to learn Thai cooking.

Rating: 8.5 of 10 ★★★★★★★★½☆

My partner and I chose a full day at the Siam Rice Thai Cookery School and based on that day’s experience we would highly recommend this to anyone reading this irrespective if you “can cook”, “can’t cook” or “won’t cook”.

In a nutshell Pot and Nancy teach teach the fundamentals of the Thai dishes that we “westerners” love in an informative, educational, efficient and most important fun manner. Class sizes are limited in size so that you get some good one-on-one attention.

Tons of fun, food and laughs.

You simply can’t go to Thailand without taking a Thai cooking class and I would strongly recommend this one!!

They pick you up from your accommodations, make a stop at a local market to get the run-down of the different ingredients you’ll use and you get to choose from a wide variety of dishes (but at the end you get a recipe book for all the dishes!). Amazing hosts/teachers, good atmosphere and tons of space for each participant. Get to eat everything you make and there’s always too much, so you take it home at the end!

Enjoyed it very much 🙂

So much fun!

My friend and I had originally planned to do a cooking course in Bangkok, but decided to cancel it and try a class in Chiang Mai instead. There were so many options, but we decided to go with Siam Rice and are both so glad we did!! I have only good things to say about Pot and Nancy. They were so friendly, and helpful, and welcoming. I am not at all experienced with cooking. I pretty much ran in the opposite direction when the flames went up for the stir fry! But Pot was patient and helpful in teaching us. The food was good and I’m excited to try cooking it again when I get home
