Flight of the Gibbon is a unique zip line canopy tour through pristine, 1500 year old rain forest outside of Chiang Mai. Special viewing stations, exciting sky-bridges and lowering stations connect over 2km of zip lines that take you through the unique layers of the rain forest canopy. The Jungle Adventure includes about 3 hours up in the stunning treetops – including a delicious lunch and a serene one hour river or waterfall trek.

Flight of the Gibbon, Chiang Mai Thailand

Flight of the Gibbon

You zip line easily from tree to tree on a spectacular and gradual downhill course, taking time to linger in your favorite places, soaking up the fragrance, clean air and animal life. A safety team accompanies you and teaches you how to move through the trees with the speed and grace of a young gibbon.

It is called Flight of the Gibbon because it mimics the way gibbons navigate thru the forest and because TreeTop Adventures as a company is committed to the preservation and conservation of these magnificent primates. 10% of all profits go towards gibbon conservation and other conservation projects.

Typical Itinerary

Each of the zip-line courses are single-day tours. At the Chiang Mai site you spend about three hours in the forest canopy on cables and bridges, one hour trekking along Mae Kompong waterfall, about one hour having time for lunch and visiting the village, plus 45minutes to one hour travel time each way. In total allow 7 hours from pick up time.

  • Early pick up time is between 6:00-6:45 a.m.
  • Afternoon pick up time is between 12:30-1:30 p.m.
  • Price approx 3000 baht including transport to the site and lunch

What to Bring and Wear

We suggest wearing sturdy pants or long shorts plus T-shirt or polo shirt. Sports shoes, hiking boots or other shoes that will not drop off easily are highly recommended. Please avoid excessive or dangling jewelry. It’s a good idea to bring a camera with a neck strap to catch all the action!

In reality, backpacks and sunglasses are an unnecessary burden and there are storage facilities in the office to store them when you arrive.

  1. We did a tour with Flight of the Gibbon on our last trip to Chiang Mai. It was a full on memorable day which was very well organised. The staff were wonderful and guided us all the way.

Would have no hesitation in recommending these guys to my family and friends!
