Traveller’s Reviews of Flight of the Gibbon

A must while in Chiang Mai

Rating: 5 out of 5 ★★★★★

Worth every single Baht. You will get your money’s worth trust me! the views and flying experience is something you can’t put a price on. Quick efficient pick up to and from the hotel to the mountain site. You feel 100% safe the entire time of the wires and the mini walks. Special mention to my guide Cash ( Kash) he was incredible kept the whole group entertained was very attentive funny personal and understood everyone’s capabilities.

Go ape on speed – but not cheap

Rating: 4 of 5 ★★★★☆

Despite the price (2,999BHT) each this was still a must do activity – even my ‘very scared’ wife managed to get round the course. A good change from the UK Go Ape version, this didn’t involve much skill other than the bravery to jump off platforms and zip wire to the next which was excellent fun. Felt very safe as you have 2 guides with you at all times and groups are kept small – ours was 7. Saw a gibbon family in the trees too. Longest wire was 800m – with a longer one opening there in 2012. Lunch and walk up waterfall included.

Great experience – a must

We had a wonderful time in such a beautiful environment. The scenery is just amazing and I couldn’t believe what we were doing from treetop to treetop. The guides are friendly and helpful. The waterfall visit is quite lovely too. A definite must for any visitor in Chiang Mai.
Just amazing!!

Tourists are charged 50% more than locals

Rating: 4 of 5 ★★★★☆

This is advertised as “extreme” and to our family of 7 it was quite tame.  Our guide -Cash, was great value but he went too far swinging the wire and causing my 17 yr old daughter to get whiplash that has lasted for the past 3 days.

The Zip lines take about 3 hours. after that we had lunch then went to a waterfall. We suggest you pass on the waterfall as its not worth the effort. In one sense its a must do but when tourists are charged such a premium it starts the day on a bad vibe.
