Popular day trips from Krabi

1.   Chicken Island, Poda Island, Sand bridge (Tup Island), Phranang Cave

Spend a day swimming, snorkeling and relaxing at these nearby beauty spots, only 30 minutes from Ao Nang. Just tell them when you’re ready to move on.

2.   Hong Island, Hong Lagoon, Pak Bia/Rai Islands, Paradise Island

Hong Island, with it’s spectacular lagoon – high cliffs enclosing an emerald green pool – is one of the highlights of the region. They will also visit some of the other beautiful beaches in one of the most memorable seascapes in the world.

3.   Bamboo Island

For the best snorkeling spot in the area, and a truly gorgeous white beach, it’s worth the trip out to Bamboo. A full day here could never be too long, but for those who are short on time, they can combine a stop here with a trip to Phi Phi.

4.   Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Ley

Visit “The Beach” of Leonardo Di Caprio fame, snorkel at Loh Sama, see the Viking Cave or wander around the post-Tsunami rebuilding on Phi Phi-Don. It’s a long day but worth the effort, and this trip can be combined with a stop at Bamboo Island.

Traveller’s Reviews of Andaman Camp and Cruise

The highlight of our honeymoon

Rating: 5 out of 5 ★★★★★

We had an amazing time with Sun (our guide) during our honeymoon on the two days that he took us out on the boat. Both my husband and I have said to each other that the experience we had was the best part of our honeymoon and where we will draw our fondest memories from for years to come!

Sun was so lovely and really made us feel relaxed and comfortable. He always had such a huge smile on his face, was so willing to answer our questions but at the same time knew when to keep his distance and just let us soak it all in and feel like we were the only two people on earth!

The islands were so beautiful and the snorkeling near Phi Phi Island one of the most wonderful experiences I’ve ever had.

We want to thank both Elizabeth (who sadly we didn’t get to meet) and Sun, for making our honeymoon that extra bit special.

If you are visiting Ao Nang or Krabi you MUST book a tour – you won’t be disappointed.

We hope that one day we will be able to return to Thailand……even if it’s just to go out on that magical boat again!

An amazing day on the water

Rating: 5 of 5 ★★★★★

Me & my partner booked a full day boat trip with Elizabeth at Andaman Camp and Cruise and it was absolutely amazing. Elizabeth picked us up at 8am from our hotel and we did not return until about 4.30pm. We got on the boat at the pier and took off out to Phi Phi Don Island & surrounds. This took about 2hrs and the views were spectacular. The day was amazing, no set schedule just hoping around the islands, swimming & snorkeling in some spectacular lagoons & bays (snorkeling gear provided if required). Morning tea was a fresh fruit platter (cut up on the boat) and lunch was home cooked Thai cuisine. The food was amazing with so much flavor. Cold bottles of water & soft drinks were also included. Elizabeth took us to some breath taking spots that photos do not give it justice.

Overall an amazing day on the water with perfect weather, excellent guide and no set schedule. Highly recommended to all!!

Wonderful day exploring the Hong Islands

Rating: 4 of 5 ★★★★☆

We booked a day trip exploring the Hong Islands with Elizabeth and my husband and I were very happy with the entire experience. Before arriving in Krabi, I had read all the glowing reviews about Andaman Camp and Cruise on this site and they were all spot on!

Since I was 24 weeks pregnant at the time, I was a little apprehensive about doing a full day trip out at sea. However Elizabeth replied to all my queries promptly via email and suggested that we explore the Hong Islands rather than Phi-Phi, as it would be less strenuous in my condition.

Although it was the high season, we managed to get a booking. Paid the advance after arriving in Krabi via their website – absolutely no problems.

The cruise itself was fabulous – being out in those gorgeous blue waters and each island was more beautiful than the other. Much nicer to travel by the traditional long tail boat rather than the speed boats that were packed to the gills. The only downside was that the longtail was pretty noisy so we couldn’t really talk while the boat was moving. If they could figure out a way to get the engine quieter, it would be perfect!

Elizabeth was a terrific guide, she explained so many things about the local culture and
place and gave us some great suggestions on other things to do in Krabi. You can tell that she truly loves Krabi and knows a lot about the area. Plus the food served on the trip was the BEST Thai food that we had during our entire trip. It was completely authentic and home-made, so different from a lot of the indifferent restaurant food we had been eating.

Be sure to carry a hat, lots of sunscreen and beach towels – you have lots of time on each island to swim, snorkel or just laze around the lovely beaches. And when you’ve had enough, Elizabeth will take you to yet another tropical paradise.

All in all, I would highly recommend Andaman Camp and Day Cruise. It’s definitely worth shelling out the extra money. And if you’re in a larger group, it’ll be even more fun.
