Traveller’s Reviews of Krabi Eco Cycle

Great half day trip to the waterfall

Rating: 4 out of 5 ★★★★☆

I went on on a half day trip to the waterfall (can not remember name) with Krabi Eco Cycle. Wut was a great guide. Really friendly and showed great passion for what he does. Definitely would recommend it to anyone who is looking for something different to do in the Krabi area.

Excellent – highlight of our holiday

Rating: 4 of 5 ★★★★☆

We went on the 1 day jungle cycle with Wut and had a brilliant time. The scenery was great and this was a fun way to visit the emerald pool and hot springs (which were amazing and not very busy). We also stopped off for a nice lunch.

We cycled for about 20km on quiet undulating roads and tracks. I haven’t ridden a bike for years but the pace was relatively easy so I managed ok. I think you need to be quite fit though and there there were a couple of downhill off-road bits that I found tricky (but exciting!).

This day out was the highlight of our holiday and I would strongly recommend using Krabi Eco Cycle as an alternative way to see the Krabi countryside.

We did it again – and it was great

Rating: 4 of 5 ★★★★☆

We did two tours with Eco Cycle. I can only recommend the tour operator. The owner and guide Wut is very nice, speaks very good English.

The first was a full day tour to the Emerald Pool and Hot Springs. The bicycles are in very good shape. The guide cares very much that you can get along with the heat and makes short stops whenever he feels, that you are starting to fight with the heat and need a moment to relax and take some water. Though it got quite hot during the day it was no problem to ride. The streets were calm, almost no traffic and just a few slight hills to climb. When we arrived at the emerald pool, there was almost no one and the swim was very relaxing. At the end of the tour we went to the hot springs and did some relaxing in there.

On our second tour me made a half day tour around Ao Nang. We were picked up and started the tour at the office of Eco Cycle which is about one kilometer off Hat Nopparath pier. We went to the pier, the tsunami memorial, passed Hat Nopparath and Ao Nang beaches. Then we passed to the outskirts of Ao Nang to the Maritime Museum, where they are trying to breed an conserve the local fish in salt water pools – very interesting! And so many Nemos… Afterwards we made a little stop for drinks and went on to a place where we draw a batik painting which was delivered to our hotel at the evening. We returned to the hotel at about one o’clock. A very nice day.
